We tried a local confection of mashed up nut, coconut juice and sugar wrapped in banana leaf.It tasted pretty good.
We then set off in the morning for the long cycle ride to near the Cambodian border.
We passed through some beautiful countryside and many small villages. The local children absolutely love us cycling through. They all smile and wave, you hear these voices shouting 'hello' and 'bye' yet can't always see them. We all shout and wave back. It's a great way to entertain yourself for all those miles.
We were meant to cycle 90km but got scuppered at around the 80km mark by a phenomenally atmospheric thunderstorm and torrential downpour. So we were bused the final 10km after getting a right soaking.
I'll follow on with some more about Cambodia in a separate post...

This little piggy went to market
We spent our last day in Thailand visiting a local market. Amazing fruit piled high on the stalls, all sorts of exotic colours and flavours. The meat and fish wasn't such a delectable selection though, as you'll see from the photos. You needed a strong stomach for the smells.
